We have closed our shop in Lititz, PA and will be opnening a shop in Wiscasset, Maine on May 1st. We will be located at 60 Main Street in Wiscasset from May 1 through December 1 and our hours will be 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on Wednesday). We have been immersed in and captivated by American Folk Art and painted furniture and accessories for 35 years. Born and raised in the Midwest, we attended country sales and bought whatever caught our eye for the first ten years. We opened our first shop in St. Louis County, Missouri, in 1971; after four years, we eventually settled on a small farm just west of St. Louis. In addition to a brisk antique toy business, we kept three buildings filled with American country furniture and folk art selling to other dealers and collectors, raised two daughters, wrote articles for various toy and train magazines, had an active interior decoration and flooring business, and continued to travel to the East to replenish our stock. We finally moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1985 and opened our Gallery on Main Street in Lititz. We strive to find first quality American Antiques with integrity and color in original condition and surface. We hope you find that quality and originality are apparent in the design, caliber and unique spirit of our merchandise. Our aim is to make both you and the Garthoeffners happy with your selection. Please check our Show Listing to see where you can see us next or call for an appointment. |
